// Challenge

At the beginning of Open Finance, companies did not know how to apply the available data strategically, as there was no knowledge or references.

// My contribution

  • Structuring the understanding of Open Finance

  • Creating a scalable model for applying data to financial products.

// Process and solution

Data Mapping

First of all, in interviews with leaders, I noticed that the understanding of the topic was very low, so I organized and presented the Open Finance data clearly to the product teams.

Based on this document, I facilitated dynamics to connect this open finance data to proposals for use in payment, card and credit journeys. There were several dynamics.

Structuring Solutions

From these dynamics, I documented more than 130 hypotheses, but the main thing was to understand the application. I synthesized the result of all the usage hypotheses into 14 main actions and usefulness of this data.

It was still necessary to create something that could be used by multiple teams. I transformed the insights into a strategic path for the use of Open Finance in the company, and a quick-use framework for the solution.

// Results

The model was adopted as a reference and guided the development of Open Finance solutions for years. I worked on training teams and implementing the strategy.

// Lessons learned

Open Finance requires active customer engagement, but its true potential lies in data-driven hyper-personalization, something I learned back then and still use today.
